Carron's Military Contributions During WWII

May 24, 2024

As Memorial Day approaches, we thought we'd spotlight Carron Net's contributions to the military during World War II.

The story of our unlikely and significant involvement making camouflage nets was first featured in The Milwaukee Journal on February 27, 1944 and was subsequently picked up by newspapers around the country, including the Philadelphia Inquirer, whose piece is featured here.

That $1,000,000 contract would equate to $17.8 million worth of nets in today's dollars.  The story is a tribute to the patriotism and ingenuity of the company and the community of Two Rivers that we call home.
